Intermoco through it Utiligy brand has continued on from record orders in the fourth quarter of Financial Year 09, to record an order intake of just over $1 million in the first ten days of the new financial year.

This is a record order intake in such a short timeframe for the company and represents a great start to meeting target revenue for FY10 of $8 million. Intermoco’s Business Development Director Mr Ian KiddIe said that these orders represent the growing strength of the Utiligy brand in the metering sector.

“These orders which are from all of our market sectors of Electricity, Water, Gas, Embedded Networks, Data and Billing are showing the strength of our customer base and product portfolio. To our delight the refocusing of the business back to metering which was implemented by the new Board in February 2009 is providing recession proof business.”

“The opportunities that are now presenting themselves, and our strategic partnerships with the likes of NEC, are both exciting and significant.”

Mr KiddIe said that Utiligy’s world leading technology and successful track record in embedded networks and remote meter reading had underpinned the company’s on-going expansion in the face of the global downturn.
